i'm sure u've heard of that.
the period of youth is commonly seen as the time when ppl start to find themselves. maybe not explicitly who they are, but more of the "identity search" and craving for the "sense of belonging".
i too, have asked myself the same question over and over and over again, yet i could not find an answer. yes, common, simple and typical answers include "seorang muslim", "hamba Allah", "khalifah Allah", "child to parents", student, and many many many more. those i've mentioned does apply to me, but the answers seem to be a bit lame.
well, not lame as in lame that i do not want to become one, but lame as in the answer is too common, and it doesnt make the whole of me ME. i know that by hook or by crook, since i was born, till now, and forever into the future, i am a hamba Allah. but i guess it's becoz i havent reached the stage where my love for Allah is so great that i willingly submit to Him, in everything and anything that i do, thus, that is not the true reflection of ME.
the one and only different answer that i've heard of before is when i came across a friend's blog, where his dad answered that he was a "loving soul". that too, applies to me, tapi takkan nak tiru org kan? =p coz then, that wouldnt be a true reflection of myself either.
so who am i?
aku seorang pejuang.
jihad an-nafs. that is what i do every single day. from the moment i wake up in the morning, until the moment i doze off to sleep late in the night.
that is me for the time being - until i upgrade myself - that is to love only Allah, and to serve none but Him.
