A whole week full of orientations. The real stuff is about to start today - "Group study facilitation skills" or something like that lah.
We went for "gasshuku" for a 3 day team building program at SYC. Nice place, but we didn't have any activities outdoors (they didn't want it to be outdoors coz to them it was too hot. to us malaysians, i think we're used to having activities outdoors in hot weather). Too bad, coz we had to be indoors all day on the previous days, coz it was drizzling on and off the whole day. we had to have our bicycle orientation and training indoors!
But anyways, we had a really good time. Among the best games were the "Ubuntu card", "Bumpty bum bum bum", all 18 of us making a square using a rope while blindfolded (we really did manage to get a perfect square!), duplication, human treasure hunt with sooo many versions. There were many more but i can't remember all their names.
I really want to write more, but we're really busy with loads of stuff to do and explore. I'm really contemplating whether to take up more responsibilities and participate more, or just to sit back and have fun. I've volunteered to be the CED coordinator, which i know would be really challenging coz i've never coordinated any performance before. I know i want to challenge my capabilities as much as I can throughout this experiential learning.
Thank God CM and BD is here. They're perfect outing buddies. Hehe. We had our first "free day" yesterday and went around Sz town. It's the first time i've cycled around a town soo far (only about 8 km return trip je pun snanye) :P
