Something about myself – 1 jan 2007

It's new year. But I really don’t feel the year 2007 is already here. I'll be turning 18. eher….

I did my O-levels in June 2004 – I was 15 (or should I say 14+) that time. Didn’t have many university options. [Reason no 1: I took O-levels. Reason no.2: I was too small. Reason no.3: I wasn’t sure of what to take!] But then somehow I decided on accounting, of which had never came into my mind. It was my decision anyways, not my dad's

Then I took a "holiday" of 6 months before I started college. It was kinda boring during this part of life. I had nothing much to do. I couldn’t work coz I was under age, so I became my mum's unofficial secretary. I did some filling stuff in my dad's office too, but that was all. Um, baru teringat. I was more active in horsebackriding. Went for a riding camp yg bes gile. And oh, I went for a holiday to Dubai n Turkey with my parents n my sis. Um, yes, I think that was the only place that we went.

January 2005, I started college. it was pretty obvious that I was the youngest in class. But alhamdulillah, I dint have problems socializing back then-DUH! June 05, my classmates sat for their first exam. I couldn’t, coz they have this thing called "minimum age exam entry". I had to wait for the December sitting and take all the 9 CAT papers full shot, coz by then I would have already turned 16.

September came, and we had to register for our exam. To my horror, they gave me a really shocking news. I am still not eligible to sit for the exam. Gosh… still due to the same reason - "minimum age exam entry". Only those who has turned 16 on the 15th of August can sit for the exam in December, and guess what? My birthdays on the 27th of August. GrrrrRr….

But all in all, there's a hikmah behind everything, and I think this time, I know what the hikmah is… Alhamdulillah…

So, I had to wait for the following June 06 sitting for my exam. During the first term, I decided to go for ACCA part 2 classes. I mean, I don’t want to be stuck studying CAT stuff all over again! Studied 2.1 n 2.2, and when the 2nd term came, I switched back to CAT to revise all the topics. Did my exam in june 06, and alhamdulillah I passed with "rainbow" colours. Heheh…

Right now I'm in yemen, studying Arabic in Ma'had Sana'a. It's been 5 months since I arrived at the Sana'a airport. aLmost everything is cool over here – yes, almost. Part of me is glad that I'll be back in Malaysia in two weeks, but the other "bigger" part is struggling to accept that fact. No matter what happens, Malaysia will still be the destination in two weeks time, but insyaAllah after I've receive my Chartered Accountant title, I'll be coming back here!

So how did I suddenly muncul in yemen? Only God knows - And I really thank Allah for giving me the opportunity. It's a life-time experience. I'm serious. Not exaggerating. I learn a LOt here.
