an unexpected encounter.

alia asked how was my day today. to be frank, boring.

except for one part.

i went to college late in the afternoon - to send in my answers for the mock exam. and so stayed there to chit chat for a bit.

i was talking to my lecturer about being in ey and what not, about the three months VT i did etc etc. naturally, SJ being her, talked about her audit experience. and i got to know the history behind becoming a lecturer etc etc. and guess what came up?

she suddenly went like:

"oh, there's this one guy who was in my 3.1 class who also joined ey. what's his name ya?"
"who?"
"aaahh... that guy. i saw u talking to him b4"
"malay?"
"ya"
"NS?"
"no. aiiyaa... whats his name..."

they tried to describe the guy. not that tall, curly hair, good english, and whatever not. but the name dint come.

and i was like "who is that?? u sure u saw me talking to him???"

yah. i dont usually forget those ppl whom i've talked to. especially if its a malay. malay guy sumore. coz take note. i hardly ever talk to malay guys in college. it can definitely be counted with fingers. (population of malay students in mCo is waay more than in uCi).

they tried to describe lagi, and jane went "he's got chinese girlfriend". SJ looked a bit surprised said "so now he's got a girlfriend already?"

and so they cracked their heads trying to remember his name, but did not manage to till he end. SJ had to hurry for the class, and before she went out of sight, she managed to say "you la. so stupid. went and dump him. now he's got another girlfriend already"

i was stunned for a second. what the h***?? my reply: "u're saying that i dumped him??? i dont even know this guy!!!"

oh god.

but at least now i have figured out who they were actually referring to. lol.

so she's saying that i dumped him? were we even together in the first place? there's a big NO on that. was it becoz we were the most "not-ordinary" malays around, that made us seen to be together?

him "not-ordinary": very talkative. he talks to every single person on earth. he can even talk to strangers in lrts. u wont believe him.

me "not-ordinary": youngest one around. somehow there were big fat letters stuck on my back saying "she's 15. she took o-levels." everyone knew that. even lecturers who i didnt have lectures with knew me.

or for whatever other reason. whatever. i did not and do not fancy him pun, so its no big deal. ^__^ but i was really stunt with SJ's statement. i really was. and i wonder what other weird gossips went around.

like when i came back from the 6 months break, some actually asked me "so u went to uk?" or "i heard u went to singapore to study" or something like that. lol. that's a typical example of how facts can get lost along the way...

~~ahaha. it seems like i'm missing the elephant in the room. lol. i did not miss it. i just want to look like and act like i dont see it. =p ~~
