it's been a while since i last rode, excluding the trail ride at puncak last month (which i very much enjoyed.) trail rides are always fun. but yesterday's ride - dressage - was total last minute decision, and my body system came to a state of shock during the ride. i felt so unnatural on the horse. yes. it's a sad thing :( for someone who loves horses.
WM kept saying: where did all the good coaching i put in you go? what happened to your good leg position? when was the last time you rode? you forgot the "bicycle theory" didnt you? check your diagonal. stop pulling the inside rein! young lady! i'm talking to you - the one who's trotting! cheCK your diagonal!
and on and on and on.. i cant remember how many times she asked me to check my diagonal - the most basic thing a rider should know. gee. i just forgot. and yes, i was practically bumping all over the horse. my rising trot was so bad. i rode on PG - one of those huGe horses with big strides - and i didnt have the rythm.
i caught a glimpse of my riding partner cantering gracefully. i have to start riding regularly again. not just once in 8 months. but first, i need to send my chaps for repair. dont know whether i can afford new ones. maybe not.
