tell me. especially those who's gone through it and its results displayed.
what do you say of your friends - very very very close friends who sometimes know you better than you know yourselves - who share some sort of impressions of how you're gonna end up in the future.
like you know. i'm pretty sure every single person has gone through some sort of guy/girl talk. i mean, of course i dont know what guys talk about, but yeah, amongst other things we girls talk about : what kind of person will u end up like in the future. and of course what kind of person would you end up with in the future.
like you know. em. say, when you think of this one friend, the image of him being a very influential politician just comes to your mind. or, em, say, the most honoured person - the founder of a charity organisation that has helped millions of lives. or the most successful businessman. or the artist of the year who has created an art piece worth a million dollars. or the most loved and respected teacher who has managed to touch hearts and changed lives.
or something lah.
i wonder, do these impressions, images, materialise in the future? similar? opposite?
i very much wonder. **correct tense? nvm**
because there are certain things in life where you kind of have an idea how you want things to work out, but sometimes other people have a different impression of how things are gonna work out for you - is it simply because they know you too well?
but of course at the end of the day, we leave it to Allah, who knows you beSt.

from personal experience, i can tell you that ANYTHING can happen.
i have a friend who was set on being a lawyer since we were small. she was among the top of our high school class. she was ambitious and hardworking and everyone agreed she'd make one hotshot lawyer. 20 yrs later, she's in the teaching profession, in a field that has nothing to do with law, but a dean.
i have another friend, the daughter of a doctor, who's always wanted to become a doctor since we were 7 yrs old. she's a doctor now & married to one, as well.
i've known people who seemed like losers back then...but ended up as doctors, engineers, successful entrepreneurs. at the same time, some of those losers remained so to this day.
2 lessons can be had from this:
1) no human knows what the future brings. so no matter what people say, ANYTHING can happen in the future.
2) don't burn bridges and try not to make enemies with anyone, for that pesky brat who's annoying you right now might very well be the doctor in whose hands your life would depend on 20 yrs from now!
